Corrections & updates log

Every time we change a published review — to fix a factual error, update pricing, or revise a verdict — we record it here. The log is append-only. Original wording is preserved alongside the corrected wording so readers can audit the change.

What gets logged

Factual corrections. A claim we made was wrong; we changed it.
Material updates. Pricing changed, a feature was added or removed, coverage expanded — we re-checked and changed the page.
Rating revisions. Any time the numeric score on a review changes, with the reason.
Source updates. A cited source has moved, expired or been added.

Cosmetic edits (typo fixes, link tidy-ups, layout changes) are not logged here.

2026-05-17 — All Crypton.sh reviews

Change: Updated the platform's founding year from "2022" to "2018" in every Crypton.sh review and in the FAQ.

Reason: Initial drafts used an incorrect founding year. The correct year is 2018, per the vendor and the WHOIS record for the crypton.sh domain.

2026-05-17 — Site relaunch & expanded scope

Change: Site repositioned from "Crypton.sh-only review" to "review hub for privacy-respecting communications tools". Added stub pages for SimpleLogin, Airalo, SMS-Activate and JMP.chat. Added named editor (Jonas Lindqvist), editorial standards, privacy policy, terms of use, and this corrections log.

Reason: Reader feedback that the site read as single-vendor and lacked the standard trust pages of a credible review operation. Resolved by expanding scope and publishing the underlying editorial framework.

Pages affected: all pages updated; new pages added.
