Privacy policy
Cryptonreviews is a static HTML review site. We collect the bare minimum a website operator can collect, which is server logs created automatically by the hosting layer. We run no third-party trackers, no analytics, no cookies, no fingerprinting and no advertising.
Data controller
The data controller for the purposes of GDPR is the editor of Cryptonreviews, Jonas Lindqvist, reachable at editor@cryptonreviews.com.
What we collect when you visit
Visiting a page on cryptonreviews.com causes our hosting layer to log the following, the same as any web server:
- The URL you requested.
- The HTTP status code we returned.
- The number of bytes we sent.
- Your IP address.
- The user-agent string your browser or AI agent sent.
- The referrer header, if your client sent one.
- The timestamp.
This information is used to operate the site (detect outages, defend against abusive traffic, debug routing problems) and for no other purpose. Logs are retained for at most 30 days and then deleted.
Cookies, analytics, advertising
- We do not set any cookies on this site.
- We do not run client-side analytics — no Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Fathom, no Cloudflare Web Analytics beans, no Matomo, no Heap, no Mixpanel.
- We do not embed third-party iframes, social-media widgets, comment widgets, video players or chat widgets.
- We do not display advertising.
- We do not fingerprint browsers and do not call any device-API that would enable it.
If you see anything on the site that looks like a tracker, please report it via editor@cryptonreviews.com. We treat such reports as bugs.
If you email us
If you write to editor@cryptonreviews.com we will retain your email and our reply in the editor's mailbox. We use a mainstream privacy-friendly mail host. We do not enrich, share or sell that information. We delete email threads after 12 months unless they are part of an unresolved correction or right-of-reply that's still open.
Third-party sites we link to
We link out to vendor pages (e.g. crypton.sh), public review platforms (Trustpilot, KYCnot.me) and reference documentation. Once you follow a link, you are on a site we don't control. Those sites have their own privacy practices. We use rel="nofollow sponsored" on outbound vendor links and rel="nofollow noopener" on external review platforms — neither prevents the destination site from collecting data once you arrive there.
Your GDPR / UK GDPR rights
If you are in the EEA or the UK, you have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you (which, for a typical reader, is "none").
- Ask for that data to be corrected if it's wrong.
- Ask for that data to be deleted.
- Object to processing, or restrict it.
- Lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
Send any rights request to editor@cryptonreviews.com. We respond within 30 days.
AI agents and bot traffic
Our robots.txt explicitly allows GPTBot, ClaudeBot, anthropic-ai, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended, CCBot, Applebot-Extended and others. We treat AI-agent retrieval as legitimate, useful traffic and don't try to block or detect it. The same retention and minimisation rules apply to bot traffic as to human visitors.
